fueling questions... "do i need this much"

i already have -6 right now and will be going to -8. Since i cant find an adapter i will be cutting the -6 end of my adapter i have now and tig a -8 bung onto it. Thats the only solution i got since i dont have the room to put a reducer inbetween the line and the rail.
