Default Fuel pressure drop?

Looking at my gauge at wot, the fuel pressure drops off quick to like 45 or so. What do I need to do now? I have an intank 255, but I did not mod the bucket or anything. Is this a voltage problem or what? Pump maybe going bad? I havent really put it through any rough duty.

Did this start after the new pump install?

Fuel pressure regulator change?
Add a Magnavolt or boost-a-pump?

Does it happen at the same rpm and boost level all the time? If so, maybe the pump just can't keep up. Any recent changes to the setup? More boost?

The pump has been in for 2 years, but I just started putting boost to it. Yeah it happens usually at the same time under boost.

I bet the pump is fine. You're asking an awful lot of a single pump to push fuel to a boosted engine. That's why you see guys with dual in-tank pumps or inline pumps and a voltage booster, or all of the above. I run the stock intank, 255lph walboro inline and a KB BAP. With 42# Ford green tops I see 80% IDC at 6000rpm. 6L with 9psi.

Cheapest way out is a boost a pump or magnavolt. For another $125 or so you can add the inline pump and put the boost a pump on that so you don't over work the intank which is a PITA to change compared to the inline which you could swap in 15 minutes. (and that my friends is a run on sentence)

If you decide to go that way PM BlownChevy. He can get you both at a good price.

Have you checked voltage at the pump? Or the electrical connector at the pump? (That is a sentence fragment. ) I know the connectors at the module can create some resistance, and even melt. Check for any deformation/discoloration. The pump's flow is relative to voltage and pressure.
I'm running an intank 255 w/ 60#ers and 8psi. It seems to be working fine. I'm not saying you don't need more pump, but I would check the electrical system first. Hotwire kit does sound like a good idea though IMHO.

Get a Walbro inline - $125 as stated above. I ran a stock intank and a Walbro inline to 9 psi on my 6.0L with no pressure drop.
