Default Front mount turbo

First off, do you have to run the turbo off of both banks or can you just use one. I have herd that you can turn the stock manifold upside down and use it as a turbo manifold, is this true? And how much boost can a stock motor handel. I was thinking of running 6-8psi on street and around 10 on the track.

i guess technically you dont have to run both banks to the turbo.....but that would be retarded. with some work you can use the stock manifold on the passenger side flipped over and turned around. you'll still have to make some custom pipe with a turbo flange to go between the turbo and the manifold. you will also have to find a way to connect the other bank of cylinders exhaust to the turbo.

I don't think a V6 manifold will work too well on a V8

Ya I think he may already have the 5.3L waiting to go in and is rounding up parts to get everything installed as soon as he can. He will have to comment on that though.
