There's no forged rods out there for 4.8s unless you buy a custom set.
5speed, truck had 111k, 41k of those boosted and well above 500 wheel HP.
TDF, a engine diaper was actually in my summit shopping cart but would not have been here in time for the track. Who knows, maybe everything happens for a reason.

Apparently 6.3" SBC rods work. Probably some decent machine work required, but not entirely custom. Here's a video of a destroked 6.0 using them:

NOOOO!! Well first off im sorry to see that happen. Second congrats on such an amazing build I have watched your truck continue to get faster. By far one of the most impressive builds I have seen. Again sorry to see that happen. And Im glad your ok. Im looking forward to what you do next!!!

Lil 4.8 took a helluv a ride, but even though you knew it was coming it is a ruffly cheap fix to get ya motoring again. Like a 400$ fix
I will be anxious to see what you do next. Hell a forgd 4.8 would get you your 9 sec goals, but need to use a diff rod.

im pretty sure there are rods that are close in length if not the right size. iirc lunati has a 6.300 set. piston mfg will move the pin on a custom set. i was looking at all this stuff not to long ago.
