Rob, definitely sucks but like you said you and the truck are both safe. Theres a 4.8 record out there and well thats what I would go for.

 

dang dude, i read it on yellow bullet, i was hoping the guy was joking but no lol or smiley of sort after his words of posting , it happens man, you pushed a 4.8 way beyond its max horsepower rating, glock did the same with a 5.3 seems like the max power is around 900-1k ? before all hell breaks loose, though its amazing with your accomplishments id say go 4.8 or 5.3 bore and forge it, you already know what the stock internals will hold, now make it reliable to sort.


if i could turn the tables i would have liked to followed in your foot steps of going boosted, just to have a nice ride and a very well maintained daily driver!! your truck is awesome and im sure it wont be long before its back up and running!

 

Too bad, but we all loved watching it. I have a hard time not agreeing with everyone on here... toss another 4.8 in her.

i can back you up with 30 bucks, get another 4.8, this one was maybe a lil tired already, u got the rest figured out, in with a junkyard 4.8 and go for that 9

well foose it went out fighting! Baddest 4.8 i have ever seen. **** happens for a reason. Every time u upgrade u come out better and faster than before anyways. Might push the 1000rwhp mark this time around.

O yeah slowec posted up about metal being in your intake after blowing a motor at high rpm. Watch out for this bc it will take your new one out like his. Good luck Foose!

Sucks to hear man, but if you plan to push it that hard or harder again id vote for a forged 5.3 aswell, what happends when the next stock motor won't hold what this one did? Unless you enjoy swaping engines lol.
