go straight to c16 and drop the meth. Use the meth with any other fuel but c16...research "reid vapor pressure" especially c16 rvp vs other fuels
Iron block and afr heads is a sturdy combo. With c16 you should be able to push that combo to some big power. 93 is just not the fuel to use with the loads you are seeing. You dont need c16...more likely 104 octane but c16 allows a lot of tuning errors without the motor eating itself.

If he doesn't need C16 and assuming the right tune, won't he make more power with a lower octane fuel? I've already read that the higher the octane, the slower the burn rate.

you might have mentioned this and i just didn't see it, but did it mess up the internals or just the block and the head?

thanks,
Jed

higher octane fuel does burn slower but it allows you to run a more aggresive tune and more boost without the dreaded spark knock.

yes but until he gets everything nailed down c16 is cheap insurance vs a motor. I have been at 13.3 afr before at the 1/8....car slowed down a little but didnt hurt any parts. If he wants to run the meth then try sunoco maximal with the meth. its 116 octane as well. He already lifted the head on his first pass on the last combo...just trying to save him some pain.
