I nominate Dewey for personality of the decade.....and close all nominations.

Holty, sounds like you've got most of the buugs worked out and your running good. When you headed to lay down some numbers man?

I'm very happy to see you finally get to driving it around. I have been interested in how that blower is going to work on your new setup. I was hoping to see it be able to put out 10psi, but it sounds like you likely won't get that unless you get lucky in cold air or something. I will say though, that cam is an excellent choice and right there with what I'd have used if I were doing the same setup. I'm not sure about the 122 being all that good for being spun up higher though, that is unless you are an 1/8 mile racer or dyno racer. The IAT's would be way too high spinning it much higher at all that what Holty is spinning it. Fortunatly, 8psi is about the sweet spot for the Radix's power effeciency range. I see 11's in your future for sure. You do have one impressive 65E though. I put alot of faith in those transmissions for all that they have done stock with just a shift kit and converter.

constant talk between us, 65E is just hanging in there.

I certainly agree, 8.5 to 9.5 is the sweet spot any way(still love to see an a solid 9.5). He hasn't really romped on it enough just yet to really get a good feel for what 6200 to 6300 is gonna do to his IAT's. (we know what's it gonna do, but how fast?) I from experience of mine was pro-under 6100rpm on the radix until I tried it on mine. Ofcourse the cam makes or breaks the deal as well, but I think if we luck out with IAT's and steal the high spark power early, between the IAT advance table and not as bad as we think IAT's, his truck should roll a 12.0 easy in moderate weather.

Looking at his scans, I forgot how much his truck loves kr. Jesus, I think if his cell phone rings it gets kr.

For his trans to even be holding up at this point with as much w.o.t. time as his truck has seen, it's very impressive considering it's mostly stock.

Thanks for the follow up Josh. I'm happy to see the cam suits your truck and driving style and best of all that tuning wasn't a big chore. The top end pull is welcome news for guys thinking the Maggie's don't have the oats upstairs. Of course the guy doing the tuning does indeed deserve high praise for tuning a daily driver that has solid top end power.
A big tip of the hat and clink of the mugs to you dewey Don't let the stogie go to your head

Cheers,

Richard

Sorry guys I was a little off on the boost reading. I just installed my boost gauge with my aeroforce gauges monday and haven't done any wot 1-2shits till yesterday.. My 2-3 shifts are at 5900 and I see 7.5-8 pounds from about 4500 or so rpm, I figgured that was it. Yesterday on my way home from work I did two brake stall's and my 1-2 shift is at 6300 and I saw 10 pounds of boost both times. These 122 really do like rpm it seems. I want to get out of the crowded valley here and get some wot runs. I will get some video.

The first guy to test the 122 on a truck was BLOWN364, over a year ago now, he had one of the two prototype Magnuson truck kits. Anyway, with a 2.8" blower pulley and stock crank pulley he couldn't spin it fast enough, it wanted more I think he was shifting in the mid to high 6k range, forget now that its been so long, doh! he was making 11-12 lbs of boost
