Default Finally got dyno tuned

5.3, LS6 cam, 918's, 80E, 6.5# boost-MP112, two 4" driveshafts, divorced NP205 t-case, 4- 1410 U-joints, 14 bolt FF w/ 5.13, 38" tires. 3rd gear yanks were scary as hell with my ragged mud truck, so after the first, he pulled in second with converter locked. Made 369 hp.

It ran out of fuel pressure just above 5k RPM. I have a 15 gal fuel cell, all -6 lines, and I bought the pump from Magnuson. It is suppsed to be a Walbro GSL-394. I am don't understand why that pump wouldn't support my set up. Not many mods over a stock maggie. Could it be too small of feed line. Oh yeah its a return style system.

Also PE fueling is 11.01 AFR. Seems too safe but the way I use the truck (WOT for extended periods of time) I guess its a good thing ( I expect to see high IATs). Timing is 18*.

Any suggestions on the fuel system?

Those are good #s threw that heavy *** drivetrain Brent. Especially for 6.5 psi and 2nd gear pulls. Get a boost a pump and bump the boost up to 8 lbs. How much tq did it make?

Is that just a capacitor? If so do you look at it like a tempoary fix or permenant fix? I only have about a week left to work on it before the ride so if its cheap, I'll get one and see if it helps. I would hate to have to set my rev limiter at 5K. That would be embarrasing out there amongst all the 7500 RPM big blocks!

Correct. I used a set of non- agressive 38" tires for the dyno. 44" cut boggers for slingin. I am going to search the classifides for a boost-a-pump.

I called Magnacharger last week before I went to the dyno shop and they said my pump is a walbro (inline of coarse) 190lph. I wonder if a BAP is the answer or if I should upgrade the pump instead?

I am leaning towards a Walbro GSL-392 255lph inline pump. They sell for 125
+ shipping from Summit. However, I wonder if that pump will take me as far as I will ever get with this blower. I wonder if the Bosch 044 would be a better bet?

I am running 2 255 walbro pumps and 60# injectors. That will work well for you. These are great pumps.

Lean your commanded AFR to 11.5 and dyno it again, you might need less timing. You'll be chasing your tail trying to fix it mechanically. With extended WOT it will be washing down the cylinder walls with gasoline as rich as you're trying to run it. At 11.5 the injector duty cycle will drop, extending your rpm before the pressure drops. 11.0 AFR is not a “good thing”.
