I lower mine at the track as low as I can.The camber is really off when I do this,so I return them back to normal ride height before leaving.I learned this from diesel guys at the track.
The front tires are actually riding on their outer tread when you launch[extending front suspension due to weight transfer] and making them loose traction.With the t bars cranked down when you launch and extend the front suspension the tires ride more on their full tread patch.It is also better for your CV axles.

I agree. You shouldn't have any problems getting 11's with some slicks on.
