I had Richard at WCCH pick me out the cam. I told him I'd like to have a blower friendly cam and have a slightly ruff idle if possible. This is the reason for the 112lsa. I have the stage 2 LS1 WCCH heads. They are CNC'D and I think with pocket porting and polishing. Once the motor really gets turning above idle I didn't think that the 112LSA was really going to be a problem. I'd give up a possible 20hp on the top to have the rough idle that I like. I don't know if you guys have seen my other post about my track times last night, but it ran a 1.75 60ft 7.9 1/8 12.58@ 104mph last night. My truck is a Crew Cab that has 22" wheels weighs about 5400lbs and I run it in 4wd. After that ET I am not to concerend with the dyno numbers anymore. With such good results I can't imagen that Richard's cam choice was very bad. I agree it could probialy make more power on a 115lsa but how much more really. With the 112lsa there is just enuff of a chopy idle to make me happy as well as let someone know that this CC's not stock.

There you go, thats great. Sounds like you have just what you want.

I was after the opposite - a stock looking and sounding SS that would sucker in those willing to play.

I completely agree with krambo. I had little if any IAT help from meth. I could get a few more degrees out of it, but nothing worth chasing. Or nothing worth trying to run it on the street and filling that meth up all the time.

460hp and a 12.3 is freaking awesome. I think your numbers look great cyazo6. With a stock Hxr I could hit 180* easy on a 1/4 mile in 80+* outside temp. Now I close the 1/4 mile under 165*. I run 19* religiously, don't pull until 170*. 19* the whole 1/4 mile, usually.

As far as that idle, mine is a 224/228 568/571 114, it is still a work in progress due to my lack of tuning knowledge . But pretty stable between 850 and 900.
I run a wideband 02 just not hooked to the rpm yet, He is a scan I made running the alky tune with no alky, It run so rich I thought it was safe to run it and watch the 02 in the run

I didn't mean to cause any stress, I was just throwing out my 2 cents. All of the numbers mean nothing compared to the grin factor. Those are some great times, congrats. I'd love to see some videos and pics if you've got em.

Wideband O2's have a 5.0 volt range. It looks like your scan is a narrow band (1.5volts).

Congrats again Fred. I'm delighted to see you like the cam choice. I realize it's a bit unorthodox but it looks like it's really getting the job done.
On a side note, I'd say your rings are pretty well seated.

Happy hotrodding.

Richard

Hey Fred; Glad to see your havin fun. Tight lobe cams always pull harder on the bottom side.
