Default FI require upgraded exhaust???

I have an 04 silverado that I put a whipple on. Im learning to tune with this truck also. When driving around town or highway you can feel that there is power yet to be unlocked, somethings definitely holding it back. I am running the stock 6psi and was wondering do I need to have true duals with this set up?

"need" is a relative term. Do you need it? Nah. Would it help, sure. Have ya thought about a set of headers only? That will help and you won't have to dick with your exhaust which is fine for 6#'s of boost IMO.

Where in the rpm range, speed, and Throttle % do you feel it should give you more power? What is your timing in those areas? IAT in those areas?

Honestly, you should just try 9#'s of boost and forget the exhaust.

I had a 4.8 with a whipple and had the same problem. I added shorty headers and duel 3" exhaust. Boost dropped a little, didnt notice power increase. Two things hold these back, The fuel system doesnt work well putting fuel through an intake designed for air only. You can remove this, replace factory injectors with larger ones and tune for it. This is a very good supercharger but it doesnt have an intercooler so your pcm pulls alot of timing killing performance. I would add meth injection if you dont want the power to fall off.
