Default Tune question/advice???

I have done searches and am coming up with conflicting opinions on this. The setup is the truck in my sig...2005 5.3, 122HH Radix ZO6 cam and springs hardened pushrods, and a ported oil pump. The question is the typical MAF vs Speed Density tune? The key things about this will be that this truck is a daily driven full weight vehicle that sees temperature shifts from 80-90 degrees in the summer to below freezing in the winter. I am currently in TX, but will be moving to Washington state next year in the spring. The key factor will be the reliability and dependable driveablity of the truck on a year round basis.

How much boost? Keep the maf unless you have to ditch it.

as far as i can gather from everything i have read. Speed density is good for really high horsepower vehicles that surpass the MAF's capability. and if you dont go thru drastic elevations, or climate changes. Therefore, i dont think that thats the route you want to go.

See, I know there are pro's and con's to both, and I was leaning tword a MAF tune. However, I figured that due to the number of people that swear by a SD tune that it wouldn't hurt to throw this out there. I need whatever i do to be right the first time so I am trying very hard to do as much research and legwork now as I can. As stated before, the key things here are the reliability and the climate in the pacific northwest. I am not out to see the highest numbers possible on the dyno, I am out for the highest reliable numbers possible so the truck can continue to be used everyday in any conditions. I apreciate all oppinions. Is there any way that those of you that have made suggestions can throw your reasons for your choices out there as well. Thank you.

temp isn't gonna matter much each way. thats what the temp sensor is for and fuel trims. i went sd cause my maf was eratic at best while in boost. i enjoy my sd and its been through the winter and sumer and from maryland to arkansas and back. but for your power and and it being a suck through setup i'd say leave the maf. tune it accordingly and don't forget to set up your PE tables correctly.

but i do love my boost enrichment tables on my sd!

I will not be doing the tune. I will have to outsource that somewhere in central TX before I move. Just need to know for the biuld so I can do so accordingly.
