Now thats purdy, 4.5L. I know the Lightning boys were having troubles keeping the 3.4 cool on their trucks. Tell we built them a better intercooler.
Jason its only money and to be different you can not show people what you have or are building. Gets too many thinking and watching and build while you are doing yours.

Give a shout if I can help you.

So whats the next step up from the F1R for you? Is it just the larger inducer on the F-1R that makes it so much tougher than the "smaller" blowers?

Judging from this table:
http://www.procharger.com/models.shtml

Youre going to have to go with a new bracket to go with a larger blower right? The F2 is a bigger case if Im reading it right.

Im a procharger newbie but trying to figure all this out for future reference

My bracket fits both the F1R and the larger F2 and yes the case is different but the LSX Cog kit bracket has the extra mounting holes in it and spaces it properly so if I wanted I could swap in a F2 in no time. It is the larger inducer and more aggressive impeller that makes the F1R harder to spin than the other F blowers.

Go big or go home, I say if you go to the f series blowers go F1C or F1R. But honestly anything over 400 cubic inches I would go ahead to the F2. Power will no longer be an issue with that size headunit.

Twin smaller and cheaper units would be different.

Yep twin F1R's

Chase sorry man but here's where Im at 11.5 at 4500Ft above sea level with my blower maxed out. I can only make 15 psi up here, and in the summer even less because the DA's go above 8000ft. If I want to push any further I'm going to have to go air to water intercooler, bigger injectors and a 4L80E would be in my future. I tested my system without an intercooler and sprayed a metric ton of meth and saw 18psi+ without pushing too high of RPM's. So, with that being said, air to water intercooler $2000 for a good system that flows. Tranny is another $4000. Facing all that, with a truck that is faster than just about anything in this town, running 11.5ish is enough for me to call it done. I wish I could go big for you guys, but at this point I plan to just drive it to the ground. I'm looking into moving onto either a dedicated drag car/truck F2 and just keep my silvy as my all-around weekend warrior that puts a grin on my face ear-to-ear every time I drive it still.

What is it that you guys like so much about the prochargers? Just thinking here, not bashing, it makes tq slower than a turbo and has more parasitic drag than a turbo so why go with a procharger? It seems the belt slip problems of old are gone with the new generation of brackets etc so that helps prochargers case to become more widely used. Back in the day everyone was throwing belts when using the bigger headunits not to mention if you chopped the throttle but with the super pulley that doesnt matter either. So why would someone willing to run a little higher stall go with a procharger over a turbo?
