Yes it's not bad driving around I have the tailpipe on it now but my girl friend and neighbors haven't complained yet lol

Magnaflow mufflers get louder after a few hundred miles. Magnaflow calls this a break in period.

Question: Do muffler’s have an initial break in period?

Answer: Muffler’s have an initial break-in period of a few hundred miles to which they will become slightly louder and deeper in tone.

Exhaust systems will temporarily expel white smoke and emit a slight odor from the thermal grease used during the pipe bending process being burned off.

The packing in my Magnaflows blew out within the first 100 miles. I could rev it up and watch the chunks of fiber material blow out the tail pipes. Seems to be a common complaint with them if you Google the topic.

I would typically use a magnaflow muffler, but my wife won't ride in my truck with it loud.

I bought a Dynomax Ultra Flo Welded Mufflers 17557 - Summit part number - WLK-17557. It's pretty big:

Case Length (in):25.000 in.
Overall Length (in):30.000 in.
Thickness (in):8.250 in.
Width (in):11.500 in.

Here's a video of it idling:

Here's a video of it driving from in the cab. I two open dump wastegates, which is why it gets pretty loud. I will say that with the windows up I can use my hands free and talk without anyone having an issue hearing me.

Yeah, that is awesome how quiet it is for being 4 inch and a few feet shorter than a reg exhaust.

Anyone running a Jones Maxflow muffler? I have one on the Tahoe and it sounds amazing. Deep tone, no rasp, etc. The muffler is stainless, great quality and very inexpensive to boot.
