I dont know if mine is typical or not, but I think it was 800 or so at idle, 1450 at cruise at stoich, and at least 1700 in boost. I dont think the sensor is fast enough to capture the true peak temperature, so my guess is 1900 or so.

Keep in mind the EGT will be particular to power level, fuel, exhaust backpressure, header design, etc.

I'll let you know in a month or two whenever I get mine finished. I am guessing 1200 to 1300.

Had one on my old twin-turbo Factory Five Cobra about 15 years ago. If it crept above 1700-1800 it was time to think about backing out of the boost. This was back when wide-band o2's were prohibitively expensive and were not gauge friendly. Saw 1750 many times.

Egt can misleading.

An overly rich low timing
Can cause hi egt. But may not be bad for the engine.

1400 is about right for WOT and cursing. Anything over and you'll risk melting stuff. I too have had a vehicle with 1600 degree temps.... and went through 3 sets of pistons lol. It'll melt the top the piston. Looks like if you were to poke your finger into the top of the piston and create a dent about 1/4" deep.

Cruise should technically be more considering you leaning the crap out of the A/F.

Timing has more to do with it than a/f though now that i think about it. Then again, timing is what chews up parts in the first place.

Your combustion chamber is much higher than 1500, but the idea is if you're seeing high temps out in the exhaust, more than likely you're way too hot in the combustion chamber.

You will see very high temps with anti-lag only because you're moving the flame front out in the exhaust to spool a turbo.
