Default Electronic Boost Controllers??

It seems like most of the turbo guys on here are using manual boost controllers. So who is using electronic boost controllers? What are you using. Which would you buy now. Im looking at 2
one is from Greddy http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT
the other from Apexi http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT
I basically want a good one that is easy to tune and adjust. Some of the rpm and speed based boost adj are cool as long as you dont have to spend a week programming for them. So what have you guys tried?

I am in the same boat as you. We may have to do some more research elsewhere where more turbo's are run. It would be sweet as hell to have one dialed in for street tires and one tune for the track. You could clean up on the street on radials if you can hook. Dialing one in to where you were right on that hairy edge of loosing traction would just be awsome.

Cool

Turbosmart have some nice looking products. They offer several more options to look at.

I'v got the Greddy unit you have in the first link. I like it a lot, haven't had any problems out of it and its easy to use. It's a dual stage controller so I run 6spi on one setting and 10psi on the other. If I had it to do again I would look into the controller that Parish runs. Its pricey but might help with the traction issues that the 2wd guys have. One more thing I like about the Greddy unit is its size. Its really small and can be mounted anywhere.

There is no info on LS1tech either. Im just not sure how similiar our vehicles are to the stuff the GN and typhoon/ syclone guys are using. I may go with the Greddy since it sounds easy to use and program. Ive got enough to worry about with HPTuners, and the wideband and meth system. Boost controller is just another gadget to confuse me. I hope you go for one of those bad *** ones that have speed varied and RPM dependant boost settings. Id love to step up to one of those once I get this thing dialed in!

Thank you very much. Placing my order tonight. Can you measure it for me? Im trying to think of where I could mount it to make it look "Stockish" Maybe the tape deck slot in the lower console?

If your *** is cheap like me, then look at what the boys down under are doing

http://autospeed.drive.com.au/A_2541...s/article.html

It's a two part article and I'd be all over this if I weren't saving for a house. Anywho, you can program boost vs. load. It gets the load on the engine from the injectors pulsewidth. It seems very simple and effective. But best of all its DIRT CHEAP. Oh yeah, you can switch between two programmed boost settings. You can save even more coin if you're accustom to bread-board, circuitry and soldering. In other words you get a box of parts to build your own.

damn man, that is small. Thats the perfect spot for me as well. Im curious if that piece is available from the dealer (I have an empty pocket there). Otherwise Im not sure where I could get something to cover my pocket area and give me a place to mount it.
Thanks for the pics
