No cats no burn.Unless timing is drastically off.
I have seen stupid hi egts on my SBC blower set up. Pipes glowing red and having 30 degrees of timing in the engine. Fuel can burn in the pipe causing a higher then normally egt reading. I have personally pulled a plug after seeing a 1500 egt reading. Plug was black and sutty looking. Change jetting and the carb set up, egts came down and plugs started cleaning up.
You only have so much time to burn the fuel you have before that flame has to be moved into the exhaust.

Your right I took alittle time to think bout what I said.
I also am not sure if what we see in those condition is an actual burn or heat left over from the combustion process.

Sounds about normal to me. I was usually around 1200 or so just cruising on the highway around 70mph. Cruising down a surface street at 45-50 they would be much cooler, maybe in the 900-1000 range. Highest I saw when I was paying attention was about 1550 under boost. That made me a little nervous but didn't hurt anything.

i haven't been that high in egt's since the meth install. i seen 1800 once down the track. that was no good.

it had no KR while in boost. but while not in boost it would get some. i tried taking the timing away but it still got KR. either way. the fuel was good while not in boost trims were low. -3 or so. the fuel while boosted was around 10.5-11.5:1 and 17* timing. here is the latest log.
