You only have so much time to burn the fuel you have before that flame has to be moved into the exhaust.

Your right I took alittle time to think bout what I said.
I also am not sure if what we see in those condition is an actual burn or heat left over from the combustion process.

Sounds about normal to me. I was usually around 1200 or so just cruising on the highway around 70mph. Cruising down a surface street at 45-50 they would be much cooler, maybe in the 900-1000 range. Highest I saw when I was paying attention was about 1550 under boost. That made me a little nervous but didn't hurt anything.

i haven't been that high in egt's since the meth install. i seen 1800 once down the track. that was no good.
it had no KR while in boost. but while not in boost it would get some. i tried taking the timing away but it still got KR. either way. the fuel was good while not in boost trims were low. -3 or so. the fuel while boosted was around 10.5-11.5:1 and 17* timing. here is the latest log.
