Default Air/fuel ratio guage or EGT guage??

I might pull out the dual guage pillar pod I have and go with a 3 guage pod.
What would be better the better guage to add....an air/fuel ratio guage or a EGT guage. I've allways heard the air/fual gauges are not that accurate. Auto meter makes a nice EGT guage and it has its own sensor/probe. Seems like the EGT would be the most accurate way to go.
What do yall think??

Well in the Cessna 172 I fly there is an EGT guage. Seems to work real nice, can measure peak EGT and the lot, plus we have a mixture control. So I guess that I vote for an EGT guage.
BTW it is a 360ci four cylinder that makes 180hp at 2700rpm.

Curious what the exhaust gas temperature you be useful for. I realize that it is a temperature reading but what does it matter. Diesel and turbo setups but a gas motor????Just wondering, could someone enlighten me.

As for your question, you will get many replys to the effect of the air/fuel is a waste. I went with an intake temperature gauge instead.

What about an A/F gauge with a wideband o2 sensor .. that would be more accurate and more useful I'd think.

yeah I see no use for an EGT setup on a blown motor...that's important for turbos so they don't pop.

Spend the money for a good wideband A/F gauge
