Default Ebc

I am replacing my STS manual EBC with a Blitz Spec S. It has 4 boost settings and they are set by kPa. I have a 3.6psi WG spring. If I set setting 1 to 10 kPa, how much boost is that? I have seen a chart that shows 10 kPa is 2.95hg or 1.45psi at 2 bar and 2.18psi at 3bar. I have a 2 bar map sensor if that makes a difference. How do these things program when in kPa?

1 psi of boost = 6.9 kPa. So 3.6 psi would be about 25 kPa that will be lowest you can boost. If you want to run that as you low boost and then run some thing like 8 psi, that would be about 55 kpa. How much boost do you want to run? Also, 2 bar is 100Kpa or 14.5 psi of boost, 3 bar is 200kPa or 29 psi of boost. I hope this helps.

With the STS EBC, I ran 3.6psi low boost and 8psi in high boost. With the Blitz, I can set 4 boost levels. 0 ratio is whatever my WG spring is. Then it's 0 to 100% ratio on top of the WG setting. Getting the correct ratio to gain appears to be a finicky thing. Then of course setting the boost limit to assist with spikes and over boosting. The boost limit is in hkPa which I believe .6 hkPa is 8.7psi of boost. So if I am running 8psi in high boost I can set a limit of .6 hkPa with a boost removal of 4 kPa to bring it roughly back to 8psi during a shift spike. Oh yea, this is gonna just add to my tuning fun. LOL
