They aren't stock head gaskets. Using MLS gaskets after the DOD delete. All seems okay.

I guess I was just generally asking, not specific to your install. But thanks.

Good question...stockers would probably be fine though.

Some engine builders swear by the triple layer stock OEM head gasket. I ran stock ones on a built engine @ 18psi with no problems and Casey on here is running 22psi on stock gaskets.

Ok Gentleman,

I'm piecing together the rest of my Head/Cam/DODD/Ebay Charger install. Man there is alot of little expensive crap that adds up. This is the reason for my question.

The Ebay Kit says that you need the following parts:
TMAP Sensor (GM P/N: 90423637)
TMAP Wiring Jumper (GM P/N: 88988320)
Intake Gasket Kit (GM P/N: 89060413)

I picked up the intake gasket on Ebay for cheap, but I'm confused about the Sensor and the related Jumper. Are they needed? IF so, Why or why not? Is there away around this?

Thanks!

You can get around using the new tmap sensor by just tuning for the old one. You'll need to tap a hole in the intake and install an IAT sensor, and you'll also need to fab up your own little mounting bracket for the old map sensor. Overall you should save around $100.
