#1
dropped 2x cylinders in the 4.3....... cylinder 1 compression- 100 and cylinder # 3- 70psi.... truck still runs and i drive it to school lol....
so it looks like its time to start looking for what i have been dreaming about day and night
aluminum block 408 + GT76 + 1.06 + 4l80e + ford 8.8" in my blazer.
does anyone have any recommendations on who i should get a built short block from ?
what are the best heads?
good daily driveable boost cam with gobs of topend if thats possible?
looking for 140+mph trap speed...
looking for those kinda traps because i got a friend with a pretty powerful supra and i want to play with him on highway.

76mm is not going to get you to 140mph traps all boost unless you are around 3k pounds. Boost + spray I can see it happening with the right setup.
afr225 are awesome forced induction heads.
What are you looking for? Low # 1/4 time or highway monster?
Would be best to go with a SD tune rather than maf.

highway monster. after looking im thinking about an GT47-88 1.08 DBB if it will fit under the hood or else twin 66mm's.
i want the truck to be fun on the street. i think a 408 will be fun enough in a 2door blazer. race weight should be and i quote SHOULD BE 3500lbs. im getting fiberglass fenders and going to put a fiberglass hood on it as well tubular front a-arms. its going to be done right. its gonna be a while but it will be worth it to pump out 140mph+ traps in a daily driven blazer on pump gas hopefully.
as for tuning. im probably going to run stock computer with HPtuners 3bar sd for a while until i can get BigStuff3 then turn the wick up...... im just going to prolly only run 4 or 5 psi for a while then turn it up to 8, then 12, then 16, etc. i am bye no means have the experience for a 1200whp vehicle let alone a 600whp vehicle. so i dont kill myself. give me some time to get a standalone.
i have run 13psi for the past 8monthes. ran 10psi for 6 monthes before that. the 4.3L held up really well.
ran 13.0 @ 99mph on a hot hot hot day @ 12psi with no tune.
my custom kit is for sale if anyone wants it for a blazer or s10 4.3L 4l60e. got an MPT70 w/ .70 a/r for sale as well and a garrett 60-1 P-trim .63 for sale.
