I still need to go get the timeslip, I believe it was a 1.82 60ft.

This weekend I'm heading back to the track to run a 12.8!
I know the big truck has it in it.

More timing, leaner a/f ratio ( it's at 10.5 at wot now) I'm sure it'll run it.

thanks guys,
allen

STS turbo, still at 5psi
212cam
2600 yank converter
shiftkit
fuel upgrades
snowperformance kit

We drove a long way to run just once, it started raining after the first run, so that sucked. I just put in new injectors and had no time to fine tune it, BUT I did get my slicks on and they sure did help!!

New time: 13.01 @ 105 !!!

I was still at 26degs of timing, not 28 like last time, so that would have helped, it was my first run with the slicks, so that was a "test" run. I feel it has a 12.7 or 12.8 as is. It's running very damn strong for 5psi on the street.

So my next goal is to run 12.5 in the 1/4, still with 5psi. I'm upgrading to a posi, 3.73 gears (has 3.42 now)
and lighter tires in the front.

Then, we'll see about going to 10psi.

later, and thanks for listening,
allen

just a ? you are going to 3.73 it would not be to much with 10 lbs of boost

105mph @ 5950lbs puts you at about 650fwhp. That's a damn efficient 5.3L at only 5psi. I think the power comes from your crazy timing. Are you running an IC with meth or just meth? How much meth?

Do that to a 4500lb truck and it'd go easy 11's.

The truck launches good with 3.42's, but it's just a tad heavy, so I'm thinking the 3.73's will have a lower 60', which will bring the 1/4 mile time down. Plus, the Av doesn't have short tires, so it'll even out.

We'll see if 10psi will be too much! I have a lot customers running it.
I'm sure the turbo will still load just fine being that the truck is so heavy and the converter is pretty loose.

I've never dynoed it, so I'm not sure what the HP is. I wouldn't think it would be at 650fwhp, sounds high. If I get some time I'll dyno it.
It's definitely only at 5psi, still the stock setup from STS.

I'm running the STS tubing, but with an intercooler I spec'd out and had made. The same one running with the new front mount turbo.
Yes, I'm using the snowperformance.net kit it works very well! I just got my second nozzle and I'll install it by this weekend to keep things cool.
It'll run 30degs of timing, but I just haven't run it down the track with that much, yet.

video coming soon,
thanks,
allen
