Default Do I need meth to run a 3.2 on a 5.3?

About to change from the stock 3.6 to a 3.2... I've been told I should see 8-9psi? Do I need meth? This is my dd.

Thanks, Nathan

As long as the tune is safe and the gas is good around you, then no. Meth as a safety net is IMO, imprudent.

Ought to add 3 to 4 psi. Assuming some type of Maggie supercharger, no belt slip, and no changes other than the pulley.

You will be fine without meth. Make sure your crank is pinned.

Yep, no problem. I ran a 2.9 on the Maggie tune on my 5.3 and never heard a ping with premium gas.

Just so you know, I will be running a 2.6 with a 10% over drive crank pulley this year.

Nice! Stock bottom end 5.3? Your mod list is very similar to what I wanna do with mine.. Is the pinned crank a must at 400ish rwhp? Will I see a boost increase with long tubes?

Its a good idea to pin the crank either way. Decrease in boost with long tubes.
