Default DO i need or have 2 have a BOV?

i have been told that it is really unwise to not have a bov and then i have heard that it is fine on an automatic. i really just want to get it up and running and not having to deal with the extra $210 will help some so can someone please lemme know if its okay 2 not run a bov for a while. its not that i dont want to spend the money its just its $210 i could spend on tuning.

A BOV is recomended with higher boost. or a standered trans.

Cool

You should be fine without a BOV below 12 psi and running an automatic transmission. Without a BOV you can make it a little easier on your system by not lifting abruptly off the throttle from high boost. Lifting abruptly is also very hard on the rotating assembly so it is best practice to ease off the throttle after a WOT run. I know it is not always possible but think about it and try to avoid abrupt throttle transitions closing the TB plate from WOT.

No you should be OK. It is my understanding that the BOV starts to become more essential over 12 psi. or if you have a manual trans as already stated. If you never close the throttle plate abruptly you will never have a problem. If you do a lot of 1/4 mile runs at the track and constantly need to close the throttle quickly at the end of the run then you might consider adding one at that time. The BOV is really more for a manual trans that has the throttle plate slammed shut before every shift. That is not a problem with an automatic transmission.

Yours doesn't work?!?!?!!?! I bought one a while back and have never installed it yet because I have not went over 7-8psi yet.
Do I need to sell this thing???

It worked fine until I move the bov and had to extend the hose. Well at least I can't hear it any more. Here is what it looked like before

How is the bov incorporated into the wastegate and vacuum lines?

That was my bad. I was thinking that my BOV didn't work after I moved the ref line to the intake for the waste gate. I just remebered the my BOV was full of water/ meth and that was the cause of it not working.
I edited my first post.
