Do I need a 3 bar LS9 map sensor?? Whipple

I am building a LS3 whipple build for my 2009 Sierra Denali. Do I need to buy and switch to the LS9 3 bar map sensor? If so why, and is there anything else I need to switch to the LS9 sensor on my LS3?

On the newer PCM its not quite as important to go 2 or 3 bar. I would venture a guess 2 bar would be fine unless you think you'll run more than 15psi.

Okay thanks. I plan on running right around the 12-14psi range for the daily

You need to swap the wiring on the MAP sensor plug. From memory only the 2011+ or 2012+ trucks were plug and play with the MAP sensor. It's only 2 wires you have to swap.

Then the tune must be changed for the new linear and offsets for the MAP sensor. They are 312.50 and -11.25.
