I ran into this posting while researching Turbo Heat Shields. Pretty slick Do it Yourself project. I think my wife may find one of her pots "missing" very shortly...

Go to a Dollar store, or a discount store like biglots, or hell even goodwill, you should be able to find loads of pots that would work. Great Idea IMO

I was thinking the same thing. I'll have to go measure the diameter of the housing and hit up the Goowill store in town.

I wonder if running a heat shield mat in between the "pot" the the ehaust housing would even work better? you could use some 3M HD Spray Adhesive to apply it to the underside of the "pot".

I would imagine it would, but i would just bolt them up separate. Just seems better

Thats a damn good idea. I remember looking at those things a while ago and they are expensive as hell, even the turbo blankets are expensive
