Default Discharge Temp vs CI of motor: Discussion

This concers a whipple, but may apply to other FI systems. Just wat to double check my physics.
On my 4.8, a 4.125" pulley makes 6-7 pounds of boost
The same pulley on a 6.0 would probably make much less.
Assume that to achieve 6-7 pounds on a 6.0 we need a 3" pulley

So, as the whipple has to spin faster and compress MORE air to get to 6-7 pounds on the 6.0, is it fair to assume the discharge temps of the 6.0 are higher?

I ask this because I am interested in upping the boost to about 9 pounds, but whipple does not have an intercooler set up. (I am looking to put one together, but that is far off)

If the assumption above is correct, then pumping more boost into a smaller motor like a 4.8 should be doable since the amount of air being compressed by the blower is smaller.
(All else being equal)

Or, should I just add a 50 shot dry and keep the boost the same?
(I have my own tuning software and leftover nitrous kits from my car)

I guess if I go with the more boost idea, I have to move the IAT sensor to the exit side of the blower since I can't tell what the current discharge temp is. (Maff is in front of the blower on the whipple set up)

Simple physics, simple answer: yes.
As far as raising the boost goes, even though it would make less heat in a 4.8, it will still be too much. You probably won't get a power increase with the amount of timing that either tuning or KR will pull without alcohol injection or intercooling.
Go with the party gas until you get intercooled.

Or hit it with meth

Either way intercool it, Get that IAT sensor moved as well.

Will do. Thanks guys. This boost thing is kinda addicting isn't it?
