whats the diff of a s/c boost cam and a turbo boost cam ? cuz on the cam i had for my pro setup some ppl say ittl work on my turbo and some say it wount

i don't see why not. then again, i don't know much about cams other than that you want a heavy exhaust bias for boost.

the cam that was spec'd for me is
230/230 .592/.592 114+2 lsa

i thought it was weird that it was all the "same" but it was spec'd by Stock48 and his cam is the "same" but smaller and his seems to be doing VERY WELL

In most cases a turbo that is run with a log setup will have more duration and lift on the exhaust side, cams that are on header style turbo set up will be somewhat more equal split.. That cam looks like it will work well with a turbo...

a friend was saying something that if u have alot of valve over lap then it wount work for turbo is that true and why , if yes how do i know how much overlap do i have ?

That's not bad, but the less the better. This is why stock cams tend to work well with turbos... Often times when a turbo is building boost the backpressure in the exhaust is greater than the intake charge pressure, which would cause flow from the exhaust valve to the intake valve while valves are open simulataneously. This results in a less combustible charge in the cylinder, and therefore less power.

Most turbo cams have more intake duration than exhaust duration.
