difference between these 3 turbo kits
#1
I have been trying to learn everything I can about turbo systems the last couple days, but can't seem to find much pointed info on my questions. A lot of the information I'm find seems fairly old as well. I am still having a hard time telling the difference between what is in these kits. Is it different parts? Or a difference in quality?
Sinister Racecraft. The store is down, but it used to say it uses a Bullseye BatMoWheel 76mm and SmartSmartgate (or something like that). Starts at 5.5k

Trick stage 2 or 3. Just not sure what size turbo I should use. But they are both in the mid 3k range
Stage 2 GM turbo kit.
Stage 3 GM turbo kit.
KB Racing. I'm going to assume the Budget kit will be good enough for me. Also low/mid 3k.

Why is the Sinister so much more expensive?
Any other words of wisdom in choosing among these?

I dont think ive seen a sinsister racecraft turbo build on here yet. Trick and KB are well known around here and both are on the forum (^Rick)
I have KBs kit and no complaints, Kyle will answer any questions you have about a build.
Ive only dealt with KB but Ive never heard anything bad a Trick

I kinda just went through the same thing as you this past month when deciding which turbo kit to order for my gen IV 5.3 build I am doing right now. I dont know anything about the sinister kit you mentioned, but I live out here in Texas and looked at both Trick Performance and KB Racing kits, before I made my decision to go with a Spike Performance Kit! These guys are down in Pharr Texas and have been super helpful, especially Mario! I am new to the forced induction and this is my first turbo build, so all the extra time these guys spent on the phone with me and answering all my questions was greatly appreciated. Trick and KB kits are solid from all the things I have read about them on here, but for the price, quality, and what all I got in my kit from Spike.... I know I got a helluva deal! Check them out if you get a chance!

Yeah they have a website, Spike Performance tuning Pharr Texas, but just hit up their facebook page and check them out. Im going to start a build thread at the end of this week when my kit gets here! gonna put up a bunch of pics of the kit and installation as Im going through it! Yeah Its definitely a complete kit! They even welded the ls3/ls7 MAF sensor in for me on the intake tube and put the BOV whever I wanted it!

i have the stage 2 kit from Trick Rick and love it. Super easy install and plenty of power.
Check out my build / results threads. His customer service is outstanding and his newer cast manifold design is the best out there.
Ive seen the 70mm make close to 600 rwhp on dynos and using 4.8/5.3 motors. I daily drive mine and its up to ~93K miles, which ~40K have been turbo.
