I am waiting on my 4l80 to finish swap at the moment so I've been looking at going back to 3.42s. Have 4.11s , with 32" tire I should still be able to run out the back 1/4mile over 130mph in 3rd. With 4.30 gear you are probably shifting 3>4 about 120. So a lower gear would keep you in 3rd (1 to 1 gear)
Only few times I've ran mine only had stock flex pump, with 6l80, soft launches was tuning trying to get it to shift out of first. But it would trap 116-118mph pretty consistently on 7-8psi

Not quite there yet, but it's now on about 13psi, e85, 15* of timing or so...with the 4l80 hoping to get everything hammered out and stop breaking stuff for a while
