the new IC dropped temps overall by 60* and decreased the temp rise over the run by 51*.

Hard for me to tell exactly what impact it had since I made several other changes at the same time.

Still think it was a good investment for the future setup, but I still wish I could have fit a bigger core.

I thought you only change the ic.
I have a larger core that would fit.

This is what you shouldve done. No need for a 6" thick core, 4" would be plenty.

I've never built a truck setup that didn't have AC and have never had an issue putting the IC right up front. Just gotta think outside the box on how to position the intercooler.

Example...just have to extend the AC line to make room for the charge pipe

Correct, no AC, but the oil cooler sits on the same plain as the AC did, so its really no problem to fit one. Just need some trimming on the bottom of the thin rad support thing to let it slide down.

The intercooler above is a big CXRacing one. Had about 1-1.5psi drop at 20psi of boost at around 900hp or so and it with meth held temps easily in check. Was around $250.

Too much hacking I wasnt interested in doing nor changing my cold pipes. I did test fit the ic up front.

Front ic is easy on 03 up.
