My current intercooler sits 2in below that and has some wiggle room. This pic was taken when i was installing everything. You can see my old turbo intercooler.

I've found regardless of heat exchangers you can't keep IATS from climbing a bit at idle. Even with well water pumping through. There isn't enough airflow at idle to cool the air passing over the intercooler. Even just putting mine in gear will make my IATS start dropping.

Yes. Looking back at my sketch, I believe that 11.5" measurement is from the latch to the radiator support.
