Convince me to keep my Radix......

Your setup will be fine. Keep the radix, you'll regret it if you sell it. A couple of hints: When towing, accelerate slowly and smoothly, avoiding any neck-snapping surges. Also leave the shift lever in 3 if your quadrant says D 3 2 1, or D if it says OD D 2 1. Fourth gear in these trannies is weak and can fail under towing, even if the engine is up to the task. And, as mentioned before, keep the stock converter and add a good aftermarket cooler.

Ive got 83,000 on the clock. First had procharger, no stall and no shift kit. later on the shift kit and stall, seemed to work fine towing. Sold the procharger and running turbo now towing bigger trailer, 6,000 lbs + plus its enclosed so there is probably alot more drag than a boat on the highway. This is all on a stock 4l60e with shiftkit, cooler, and all the other stuff FLT recommended. I think you'll be fine. I drop my boost down to 6psi when towing.

The trans is at risk regardless with that trailer going up hills. If u were talking about launching from a dead stop towing that thing then the Radix might being the last straw, otherwise as long as u keep it cool and have all those extras ull be fine. I let all these guys spook me into the 4L80 swap and honestly think I'd have been fine with my 4L60 as long as I wasn't making 10 passes a week at the track. Have the tune adjusted to avoid slamming the trans on uphill downshifts and make sure u have the HD tranny cooler and it'll be fine.

Well, I gotta guy that wants to buy it. So I guess I'm gonna sell it to him. For now, I am going to stick with just doin Dynatech long tubes and a Corsa exhaust. The dealer here in Reno sucks big *** and they will deny any warranty issues they can. Atleast this way, if something breaks, they gotta fix it cause I have the GMPP full replacement warranty for 5 years. The Radix would be awesome, but I gotta think reality for now.

Don't worry about it. Just slap it on and be careful in how much boost you go into over the hills. I tow with my truck every weekend to go fishing and have had no problems at all with the truck or the trans. I run my truck hard and am very suprized how well my trans is holding up with a shiftkit and sevos.
Good luck
