Heads would certainly help, but for the price the gain won't be significant.

Is it the transmission that kills the performance? Makes no sense other GM vehicles really benefit from heads and the trucks do not. Is it the intake or something?

Don't get me wrong, heads help, but with a cammed FI set up the gain isn't as significant as an NA app. for dropping another 3k on top of all the FI expenses.

And the truck intake is replaced with the blower (if roots style blower). But in other apps the truck intake is a huge choke point at high RPMs.

Moregrip has a H/C blower project underway right now. I think his goal is atleast 600/600, but he's also on a forged shortblock.
