I did a sidemount M90 fab on a stock 5.3 and it was pretty potent over stock, but it did fall off up top. Saw 4-5psi down low, dropped to 0psi around 6500rpms. By then, the engine was out of breath anyways. The instant torque and flat power curve made the measly numbers potent on the track against other modded LS1s

M122 came on the newer ford GT500's

I did another build using a LQ4 and a M122 with much better results. Pushing 11-12psi with it

I did find a Cobra 122 on craigslist for 500 w/3500 miles on it. I'll start lurking a couple of lightning and 'stang forums. I'm taking my time to think this through and try to get the best deal on the supercharger.

Alright... I've got a plan worked out... I think.

Take the Vic. Jr. carb intake with injector bosses. Build a pressure box to mount the charger to and funnel the air into the intake. My only concern with doing something like that is hood clearance, I suppose I could go to a cowl hood if I needed to. Does anyone know how tall the body of these Eatons are?

The Shelby M122 is 6.413" from the bottom flange to the top of the highest inlet bolt boss

Just from experience, Id skip welding up a carb intake and simply order a maggy intake tub and build a new top plate to incorporate an intercooler. These blowers get HOT

These superchargers really need an intercooler unless you are not running much boost at all.

I wasn't going to do any welding to the intake. I was going to bolt the pressure box to the unmodified intake. Then mount the supercharger to the pressure box.

Is there anywhere that I can just buy the TVS lower intake? I've looked around and I can't seem to find anything that's not an entire kit.

I was thinking 8-10lbs max. This is a stock bottom end 5.3.

I know it's super old...but there's a guy on the Facebook who makes an adapter plate with an intercooler for this swap. I'm grabbing an M122 this weekend and will post it in another thread. Just in case anyone falls upon this one, there's some closure.

What’s his info? How much does it cost?

All the details aren't out yet but Matt with sloppy mechanics tuned a 5.3 with a GT500 super charger using a Demuse Engineering adapter plate. it made 525/560
