Coming set up
#1
Guys, seems like the turbo section has been a little slow lately, so I'll post my next plan (they seem to change alot).
I got the 5.3 in the '92 rcss and its great, but now a new set up came along.
This what I am doing.
Forged 347, Diamond pistons, Speed Pro rings, Eagle rods, ARP rod bolts, Patriot 72cc heads with 2.05/1.57s, head studs, 60lb injectors, twin Walbros from a sumped tank, using the truck intake until I can do a Victor Jr.,
STS style turbo with a PT74 mounted in the bed, fmic, 3200 Vig stall, 4L65, 3:08s, already have Detroit true trac, and Caltracs.
Even though there is plenty of room under the hood, I feel the need to put it in the back just to keep after the na-sayers.
Goal is to run 10.99. This set up was in a crew cab and went 12's @ 10psi and there was room for improvement in many areas. I also am willing to do 15psi too if I need to.
Motor will be in a week, but the turbo will take me a month or so as we are full up with cars.
Any comments welcome. Think I can do it????

Come on now. No super throw down intercooler mounted where the tailgate was
If there was more flow in the front of the bed I would put one there though. I dont think there is enough flow to cool the charge air well enough, so it should be a typical front mount intercooler.
You know, that would be so much easier though.

I say a 76mm turbo,75lb injectors and a meth kit.I think the 74mm will stall on you.
Also, tune it to the max. -No fluff tuning
Remember this

You bet I do.I was hoping to avoid the 75s if I could.
I will see how far the 74 will go. Its supposed to be good for "950hp" according to Precision.
