Are you using a boost controller of some kind of a waste gate spring to make your psi?

Reason I ask is idk what spring comes with this kit so there may be a need to manually increase the boost at some point.
You get 5 springs with the precision waste gates.
I think it's adjustable from 2.3 - 23 psi. Depending on Combination of those springs.
As far as boost controllers you'll need a boost gauge.
Might look into an electronic boost controller gauge combo.

I would like to run between 10 and 12 psi but I'm not sure what all I am getting until I actually go and pick the kit up. So I guess I'm just trying to think of everything before hand lol. It's become somewhat of a chore

Basically they are very weak when pushed beyond stock and is even a common warranty issue in stock vehicles. It is not uncommon to have them start ticking followed by a complete collapse which ends up eating your cam if not worse. You can google "DOD lifter failure" for lots of examples. The problem was worse in 07/08, but I don't trust them. With how cheap it is to swap them out I wouldn't even think twice. Kind of like the trunion upgrade its cheap good insurance.

I see what you mean. When the nnbs trucks came out I replaced several of the lifters and cams due to them failing. Some with less than 6K miles on an otherwise stock truck! I was shocked that GM had that problem. But, as I haven't been in the mechanic business in almost three yrs now I think I may call up some of my coworkers at the dealership and see if GM has had a better track record recently.

If its still a reoccuring problem then ill set aside some cash and get new lifters/pushrods/cam and install all at once. And if that's the case, ill throw some ls9 gaskets and arp studs in it as well.

Thanks again for the heads up!

60lb injectors will take you well into the 600hp range running pure gas.

I plan on using 93 because we don't have e85 here in town where I do 95% of all my driving at.

that is good to know that I will have plenty of room to grow with these injectors! thanks

The ability of injectors to support certain power levels is based on many other factors. Fuel pump, fuel lines, fuel rails, etc. it's not a good idea to make a flat statement that 60lbers will support 600hp. That kinda brings up questions for me. In this build I have a hard time believing 60lbs will support more than 500rwhp. With a BAP 550 might be possible, but that would be pushing it. The fuel pump and injectors will be struggling at that type of power level. These numbers are assuming returnless setup. Also I believe ls9 injectors are 52lbs, but that might be at 43.5psi.

I was figuring with the stock heads and cam it would be lucky to make 450-470 MAYBE to the wheels. which im ok with. not looking to get crazy by any means. ill just leave it at whatever it makes at the most psi I can run a safe afr at and that will be that

maybe next yr I can cam the motor and really get after some hp's with a little meth and head work!

the injectors just came off a zr1 but got upgraded to 60lbs of flow. im sorry if I wasn't clear on that. I knew what I meant when I said it all in my head as I was typing

EDIT: just went back and reread the pm and they aren't stock injectors but actually 60lb aftermarkets. I hope they work or I will probably be out some money and down time :/
