Looks like a solid set-up...6l80e? I'm running a mp70 at 13psi and and its too much for street tires.

Yup. 6L80E ftw! I'm not realy looking to race the truck all that often tho. So I think the street tires will be ok. I'm more of looking for a WOW factor and to be different. And towing my toys around would be easier as well lol. The track is about 40-45 mins away just to get there.

any one have any recommendations for a manual boost controller? im thinking of getting one and when I get it tuned I can slowly start from say 6-8 psi and move up from there and find where the 60lb injectors hit their limit at...

We have 93 just choose to run 89. At times its 0.40 cent diferrence and doing 250mi a week it adds up. We do put 93 when we go to the track though or when we plan to "cruise" lol. Also its running through a stock 6l80 and G80.

ahh I see your in san Antonio now lol.

I don't drive mine all that much. its been over a year and I just hit 10K miles last week.

think the tune will be easier with 93? and by easier I mean being able to use more boost to make power and still resist knocking ect.?

or should I just stick 89 in there? what did your tuck dyno at if you don't mind me asking?

Truck hasnt seen a dyno so no idea there. If u can do 93 then yes. We did this with the intention that its a daily first then everything else second.

Turbos do that. Out running vettes, mustangs, camaro other trucks.
I get messages from customers about kills on the street. And the looks they get from car owners they just beat.

Or

just open the hood and have a clean set up.

I would recommend you paint or powder cost the cold parts toile the truck. Very clean look.

I'm trying to approach my build the same way... But it's the gear head in me telling me to keep adding this or changing that lol I need to just bolt it on so to speak and be happy with what it makes.

Are you using a boost controller of some kind of a waste gate spring to make your psi?

Reason I ask is idk what spring comes with this kit so there may be a need to manually increase the boost at some point.

I was thinking about pc'ing them black because white will get seriously dirty and such. But I don't want to coat the inter cooler. I want people to see it. Maybe just a stencile or something in the middle of it and just the cold pipes in black...
