Default combinations maxing out maf

I searched on the subject but found info on maxing the fuel system more than anything.

If you've maxed out your maf, please post up your engine combo (displacement, cam specs, etc) and what type of power adder (turbo, sc) and how much boost you ran when the maf maxxed out.

I'm going FI with a 6.0L/'02Z06 cam/pt67 front mount setup and am wondering if I should go MAF for drivability or if I'm just going to have to go speed density right out of the box

How much boost? I think you'll be maxing that maf at around 8 psi or so.

With a stock 5.3L and a 60-1 at 9psi I'm out of MAF by 5000RPM...

I'm thinking 6-7 for the street and 9-10 for the track possibly.

People tune around a maxed MAf all the time. It may not be ideal, but unless you do you own tuning SD is not the way to go either. You will have to make changes as weather and the seasons change which is fine if you tune it yourself. My MAF is wayyy maxed with the 6.0 and 14 psi from the Procharger but I still run a MAF.

I'm doing my own tuning and I have noticed that my truck seems to run more consistent afr's when running my maf as opposed to SD.

Guess I'll have to do some research on EFILive's website regarding tuning around a maxed out maf.

No, I haven't. But its in the future after my 4L80E and LS6 cam swap. Right now my truck is running so damn good I don't want to touch it. I am out of fuel (255L in tank) by 5500RPM anyway.
