But the bug still bites so i bought my current ext cab. still can fit all in if i had to but we usually take the wifes tahoe.

So i see in your sig you have a CCSB Ford? why buy a CCSB silvy ? Just mod your reg cab and put the family in your powerstroke??
because the powerstroke is my wifes ride and is being replaced with a tahoe most likley in the next few months, plus i want the option of taking the family in my truck if need be.

I used a KBRacing kit in my old lifted crewcab. 70MM kit, towed like a dream and on high boost would light all 4 35's from a brake boost start. But the mileage of a 7klb truck isnt the greatest.

sounds fun my truck wont be lifted, though. it will be lowered 4/6 on 29" tall tires... mieage isnt really of concern as i only put 6-7k miles/year on my truck.(i live 4.5miles from work)

Go for the TVS1900. You can do a turbo setup but it aint cheap. A TVS will give you all the bottom end you could want and cut back on the $$$. I love my "old" TT kit but the install and expense deserves a second look. With a heavy CC, I can't imagine running a big single and the associated loose stall to make it run like it should. IMO, a CC with anything over a 2700/2800 stall is in it way too often for a Daily Driver w/kids. I don't want to spend my time in commute traffic at 3000 RPM...

Rick (4 kids, a couple of wives over the years, and a never-ending qwest for "just a little faster". Can't imagine commuting in anythign slower than mid 12's)

PS: My ultimate DD CC ride for a Family Man:
427 10.5:1
TVS1900
Way too small cam (maybe even a DOD cam)
Meth to cover the aggressive timing
1600 single disc billet stall
3.23 gears
650+ft lbs at 1500 RPM up
"No drama Obama" acceleration from every stop that leaves everythng in it's dust...
Basically a Diesel without the noise and smell and a Gas roar ...
