Default can I turbo

I have a totally stock 2002 2500 non hd can I turbo it without messing with the emissions .Its my work truck and it has to pass a smog check every year. It has the lq4 6.0 with the 317 heads and a auto trans. It only has 150k on it. I got it from the old electrician who trained me I have been riding in it since new and it still looks new inside and out. It has a steel cowl hood that was put on in 02

hard to say.. lots depends on your tune as to if it will pass emissions.. most turbo vehicles run as if stock when not in boost..

I dont want to go wild.i was thinking of just putting a turbo on and changing the injectors and tune as needed. I dont want to touch the motor I was thinking between 5 and 7 pounds of boost.

I had a rear mount on my hd and did emissions testing for a company with it...it passed with flying colors...get it on and tuned by a good tuner and you wont have any problems

I'm in Arlington and my 07 rear mount passed with no issues whatsoever. That's specifically why I chose it. Turbo, pump, injectors, ZO6 cam, tune. Still have the kit if interested...maybe talk me out of it lol.

I was thinking about a rear mount setup. What kind of power can I get without hurting parts. I do not want to make a hotrod out of it I want dependable smooth power. I first thought about a putting a s/c on it but I like the idea of turbocharging. I dont want to change anything inside the engine.

I like roots superchargers better for this kind of application. Engine will handle 450-500hp with a good tune all day.
