6.0L with the GT2-3 cam, Radix at 9psi, Long tubes. 470/501 on the 24's.

 

420hp and 450torque here. Immediate response to pressure from my right foot. Flat out hauls, but is civilized when I set the cruise. About 20K trouble free miles (except for the tranny) and many smiles.

 

5.3L with 90mm tb, gt2-3 cam, and alot of dyno time made 504/475.

 

All good #'s!!! Are you guys telling me all you did was put a cam and headers with some good tuning? I have seen the stock block hold power all the way to 600rwhp with a 6 speed. So I assume 550rwhp is about MAX with an auto?

 

In a big heavy truck and a 4l60 about 100 horsepower is the max. If you will look at most of the FI guys they end up with a trans from flt before it is over.

My stock tranny lasted about 18K miles with not a huge amount of abuse. A pair of grippier tires in the back would have resulted in a sooner tranny death. Forced induction of these half ton trucks is the best friend of the FLT folks. Stock pullied Radix on a stock engine would soon fry that tranny if it was flogged more than a little bit.

In my sig but here it is: 377 / 429 90mm TB, 3.3 pulley, long tubes and ORY, stock cam, Oh and it's a 5.3L. I have a meth kit = not installed yet I'm scared to go any further with my 4L60e with this lead sled... it's fun though...
