Default CAI/ Ram air ideas?

i want to suck air thru my stock hood, has anyone installed a hood scoop or anything like it on a stock hood? im looking for ideas on what may work.

i have a 96 gmc z71.
ideally i would like something not really noticeable maybe even inverted so its not seen. I like the look of cowl hoods but want to stay with a stock appearance on the hood. any ideas for me?

you could go with a Volant CAI with their ram air scoop. The scoop attaches to the bottom on the air box and open where the tow hook is. No modifacation to the hood.

^^ Good idea!

Also summit racing sells different types of abs plastic scoops you could use.

But most stick on scoops arent pretty unless you mud them in.

I'm making it an off road truck so i got to keep the intake in a high location because of mud or deep water. That's also one of my concerns with having a hood mounted intake is rain. not sure how to make it not suck in water or pool it into the airbox.

wow they got a new site up, and its easy to navigate, so much better now.
they have a ton of hood scoops but im thinking inverted like a heat extractor maybe so it wont be that noticeable from the outside.

This is the setup i have now, as you can see i have a lot of room on top of the fender for an air box, another reason to move it is i want to put a second battery in where the air box is now.
