Default building I/C sprayer

i want to make my own I/C sprayer. i dont know all of what i need to make it.
i know i need a bottle to hold the nitrous or co2 (whichever i choose to use)
i know i need a switch to turn it on (i have)
but what else do i need? my intercooler is about a 24x 20x is my best guess without measuring. ive been thinking about what i need. i was thinking something like a nitrous kit but just turning the end into a spray bar (some type of small piping with tiny holes drilled in it for release) any advise on what i need or info will help. thx in advance

yeah, someone did this a while back (~2005) but realistically you'd prolly do better to increase your IC capacity.

Or spraying the nitrous in your engine.

Methanol injection can make up for small IC's as well.

Only real gains from IC sprayers would be road course racing or similar. Its not gonna make much diff on short WOT runs,if any.One thing it will do is eventually stress the metal from blasting the hot IC with ice cold co2 or nitrous and it will crack.

i have personally seen large increases in hp from one of these. it wasnt on a v8. it was an old friends 335i. he got a 20+hp increase throughout his entire WOT pull. so i know it works and thats why i want to do it. and if i crack the ic, i will have it welded. thats the good thing about metal... a weld can fix almost anything. the intercooler is plenty big for the amount of psi and hp im at. if i ever get over 700rwhp, i will upgrade the ic. i just want to know what i need? im thinking that basically, as nitrous type kit will work. am i wrong? any other info on the making of the kit?

you just need a bottle, solenoid, switch, line and a spray bar. i seen spraybars for sale on ebay before. do you already have a meth kit on the truck already?

yes you would be better off spraying meth first instead of spray bar. it will net you more gains when u can run more boost&timing and cheaper imo since your basically spraying purchased gases into the atmosphere to try and cool the thing that cools the air for your motor, why not cool the air charge directly..

I have one but I just use the washer fluid. i have a spray bar above my intercooler and spray it with water or WW fluid. Anytime you spray water on something and blow air on it it cools down quick.
