Really? I thought that when you turn the light off it will turn the code off to never report?

nope. Code is in the PCM and always present, just doesnt set the MIL if your tuner tells it not to, like he or she or they should

The PCM has to fail the MAF to switch to SD, and when it fails the MAF it sets a code

The MAF will need to be disabled, and if you have emissions testing you will fail because while the MIL will be off, the computer will still show a MAF code when it is scanned
#FACTS. OP, does your state require emissions testing?

Oh I get it cause you want the MAF to report an error, if you set it to no error reported it will just act like it is working and the pcm will get all sorts of retarded

If you dont fail the MAF and its not connected, the vehicle will not start. Set to fail on first error and uncheck the SES option, unless you like staring at a CEL light...

Right now I gotcha, is there no jumper wire you could run to fake the MAF out without failing it so then you could turn it onto no error reported?

An example of what I mean is when you convert to hydroboost you can buy a female harness that the vaccum normally connected to and just jump the pins to make the ABS light go off.

No. The PCM measures the maf frequency in hertz, if its above or below thresholds it will throw a code that says to ignore it so you are now in SD. This MAF failure MUST be present for SD to be active. Stock Gen3 MAF maxes out around 400rwhp.
