boost/tranny probs (long)
#1
ok, so this started about 2 months ago. its a long story, so bear with me.
when the first time the tranny messed up, i lost 2nd and 4th gear. i got that fixed. then i went to Phoenix and cracked my reverse input drum. i take to tranny shop second time. after i picked up truck from the shop i notice what sounds like sand or what sounds like when you shake a maraca, coming from driver side bellhousing area. (it seems)
and when i drive and go somewhat into WOT, my boost raises VERY fast and seems to peg out at 5-6 lbs and make a stutter with the whine. but if i ease into throttle and keep going it will see 9-10lbs boost, so i let off knowing that cant be good with a 6 lb. pulley on there.
magnacharger has already looked at the blower and sent it back, its all good. i had a bad nose bearing but thats been fixed. so now i need to know what you guys suggest. i took the truck to a different shop, its there now. they are going to take the tranny off the motor and run it to see if its still making the swishing noise. and if its not, its narrows it down to the tranny/TC etc....
i'm just hoping it could be nothing with the motor internals. i have had maybe bent flywheel or bad TC suggested. i just dont understand how it could be showing 9-10 lbs of boost though... ???????????????????

PLUGGED EXHAUST, might be what is causing the high boost readings. You also need to check your intercooler pump and make sure it is working properly. I think you have more than one problem going on here.
