Any idea how much flow is coming out of those vents at WOT/15psi? At 18psi I was blowing some oil out of my system which is similar to yours...only not as pretty.

OH...what kinda of IAT are you seeing overspinning the 122HH like that? Impressive set-up!

Thanks for the compliments!!

The flow out of the Breathers is negligible, I keep everything super clean and there is never any oil residue anywhere. Running the Breathers on both Valve Covers helped alot, I was running just the one for a while and didnt like it. I clean the Breathers, K&N Filter and MAF every time I work on it which is often. I have 4800 miles on it and have been running the Breathers for a while now. The Breathers do get dirty, I just take them out and clean them with Brake Clean and put them back in. I was running 17.5 psi of boost for a while but was using 109 with it and that was getting too expensive recently at $14.00 a gallon.

The IAT's running around stay at around 108-118 and I can see 130-140's if I am hammering on it. I currently run 26 degrees of timing with the 100 octane on the street tune. I can run 29 degrees on the 109 on the street tune but that gets expensive. The 100 octane can be pushed out farther to 29 in a controlled environment like the track or dyno but I like the safety of 26 on the street. I actually find that it runs cooler on the more timing and I saw 16 MPG Highway on the last long trip i drove it on. I can also tune it on 91 with 15 psi but have to pull a little more timing to do it. I really like the safety of race fuel and tuning for it isnt that hard.

I want to get it on the strip this fall for some times. I need to get a few more things done for the Nitrous and I am working on a Drag Radial Setup with the 390/40x17 M&H rear tires and 185/55x17 M&H front runners.

I just put another custom transmission (4L70E) and torque converter (2600-2800) in it that I am testing and have it tuned so my commanded shifts are within 50 rpm's of actual for the first time. With the old transmission and tune I took it up to California Speedway and it wouldn't shift beyond half throttle and ran a 12.3. If I gave it more then half throttle it would rap right off the rev-limiter and then not shift for what seemed like forever once I would let off completely.

I also dropped back down to 15 psi so I can run 100 Octane and prepare for the Nitrous. Nitro Dave plumbed an Inlet for me and is in the process of doing a Custom Stand Alone Fuel System Tank. I have plans to put it back on the dyno in October at different boost levels and the spray.

Looks awsesome Joe! If your free why don't you come up to Sacramento with me this weekend and run the TBSS?
I'm driving up from LaLa land and am coming back on sunday. You'll get a good chance to stretch out her legs!

On a side note, how much power did she make on the dyno with 109, 100, and how much do you think she would make with 91+meth, (all at the same boost levels.) You aren't currently running meth because your running 100 right?

Joe, you need to put a better oil pump in there. That kind of pressure is not a good thing. minimum 10 psi per 1K rpms. Pick up a LS4 oil pump if you like, hit me up for the part number and just watch how much oil pressure you will have with this thing. When you rebuild a bottom end, the bearings are not as tight with a boosted motor, so it needs more oil pressure. Or you can switch to a 20-50W which is what we run in our stuff as well.

I just got back from seeing a friend in the hospital all weekend out of town. Right now I dont even have any drag radials for another 2 weeks. My Rear M&H have been on back order until the 26-28th some time.

I never have run meth and always run race gas. On the 109 it made 639 RWHP at 15 psi. I hope to get it on a dyno in October some time for some new numbers.

Thanks, I am seeing about 8-9 psi per 1,000 rpm's right now (max of around 54 psi at redline). Whta kind of pressure is the LS4 pump putting out? If I am going to pull it apart to change the pump I may just use the Melling High Pressure pump. We put that in the SSR and really like it so far. I have not heard of any problems with the Melling pumps.

Lets just say the LS4 will do what the melings will do without the added space issue on the front.

Rick

If you wouldnt mind sending me the part number in pm I would appreciate. I installed the new Melling High Pressure pump in the SSR and it fit like a stock pump.
