Default Boost on my 98?

I have a few questions for you boosted guys.

I have a 98 RCSB k1500 and I'm in the process of restoring/upgrading it. Engine wise, I have an lq4 with ls2 rods and pistons and an ls6 cam. With the few other mods it has, I am sure it is still going to fall short of 400hp, so my question is, is it worth a small turbo setup to get some more ponies out of it?

I am not looking for much more power (I don't really have a hp goal) but I do not want to go with a lumpy cam. It's going to be my daily once it is finished and I want to keep it fairly mild for the most part, but still have some power to play with. This is why turbos came to mind. (and they're f*ckin cool!)

I guess I'm just wondering if this is a route worth taking for the minimal gain I am looking for. If any of you daily drive your boosted pickups, what are your pros and cons in doing so?

I'm sure I'm forgetting something so ask away if there is.
Thanks everyone!

All I will say is a turbo is alot of money for 400hp. A LQ4 mild head work and a cam will make 400hp

I assume your talking about the 317 heads byrdman? Any idea how far I can mill them while still running pump gas with my current cam?

Yea, I know it's a pretty costly idea, but if I did turbo it, I would probably be looking more towards 500hp. Plus, with the addition of a boost controller, I can always back the pressure down for daily and winter driving, and turn it back up for fun and towing.
