I'm going to try to do something like this

http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...+smoke+machine

I might use the cans of smoke that are used to test smoke detectors too. We'll see what I can get to work.

I've been so farking busy I haven't had a chance to do anything, but I did notice someitng that makes me think its definitely a vacume leak. This afternoon the truck was sitting all day and it was about around freezing. When I started it up and drove it home (17 miles) it felt like a rocket, boost came on so darned quick (yet my AFR was super rich, like 10-10.5). I let it sit and idle for a bit when I got home and jumped back in and it was back to being numb and not going into boost w/o lots more throttle (and afr was closer to 11-11.3). I think where ever the leak is, it partially or fully is closed when things are cold and as the engine bay heats up things expand.

I wonder if its been like this since I/slowhawk tuned it (I seam to remember him saying something was off when he gave me a base tune) and we were trying to tune with a leak, so when the leak is closed and the MAF actually sees all the air, it dumps in way too much fuel.
