To actively keep the gate shut below my target boost to improve spool time and have more control over the target boost from inside and without messing with springs. I run about 25psi on 6lb springs and can adjust anywhere in between with the controller.

I use the AEM trueboost and love it. Super easy to use. Has the gate pressure, A, and B settings. It also lets you control crack pressure. So I have mine set up so it keeps the gate closed until my desired boost level is reached. Just like richard said, it is a tremendous aid in spool time. Makes running a bigger turbo no issue on a smaller engine.

eBoost street. I have a low setting which is as low of boost as possible, usually ends up being 3.5-4psi. Then a high setting which is about 12-14psi. It also turns on power to my methanol controller.

Eboost2 here. Six settings , spring, 7,9,11,13, and 14 psi. I have it set to cruise around on the first setting that is pretty much the spring pressure. if I want to play, I hit a momentary which activates the timer setting and once I have traction the wot switch starts the timer to ramp through all the settings. It works well so I can run street tires and not do unintentional burnouts.
